CAGR calculator
Find the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of an investment: the steady yearly rate that would take the starting value to the ending value.
CAGR
—
- Starting value
- —
- Gain or loss
- —
- Absolute return
- —
How it is calculated
CAGR = (Ending value ÷ Starting value)1 ÷ t − 1
where t is the number of years. CAGR smooths out the ups and downs along the way, so two investments with the same CAGR can have had very different journeys.
